Topic: Muscles identification on the human anatomy

Objectives & Outcomes

• Students will be able to name at least 5 muscles on the human anatomy.

Materials

• Human anatomy chart or model
• Pen and paper for each student

Warm-up

• Ask the students if they can name any muscles on the human anatomy.
• Write their answers on the board.
• Ask the students if they can explain the function of the muscles they mentioned.

Direct Instruction

• Show the students pictures of the human anatomy and ask them to identify the muscles.
• Have the students name the muscles and explain their function.
• Repeat this process with different pictures of the human anatomy to ensure that the students understand the concept.

Guided Practice

• Show the students pictures of the human anatomy and ask them to identify the muscles.
• Have the students work in pairs to name the muscles and explain their function.
• Encourage the students to ask questions if they are unsure of any muscles.

Independent Practice

• Give the students blank sheets of paper and ask them to draw and name the muscles on the human anatomy.
• Encourage the students to use their textbooks and Google to find additional information about the muscles.

Closure

• Review the names of the muscles on the human anatomy and ask the students to give examples of each muscle.
• Ask the students to share any interesting facts they learned about the muscles.
