Objectives & Outcomes:

Materials

  • A large cardboard cutout of a road scene

Warm-up

  • Ask students to name some hazards they have encountered on the road.

Direct Instruction

  • Show pictures or videos of different road hazards, such as animals, pedestrians, and vehicles.
  • Discuss the correct way to react when encountering each hazard. For example, when seeing an animal on the road, we should slow down and be alert. When encountering another vehicle, we should keep a safe distance and use our signals.
