Objectives & Outcomes

• By the end of this lesson, students will be able to describe their daily routines and time management skills.

Materials

• A timer (or a stopwatch or a clock with a second hand)
• A list of daily routines (e.g. getting up, showering, eating breakfast, going to school, etc.)
• Pencils and paper for each student

Warm-up

• Ask students to think about their daily routines.
• Have them share with a partner the activities they usually do in the morning, at noon, in the evening and at night.
• Ask volunteers to share their responses with the class.

Direct Instruction

• Introduce the concept of time management and explain how it is important for managing daily routines.
• Use the clock face to demonstrate how to use a timer or alarm clock to manage time.
• Discuss how to prioritize tasks and organize activities according to time.

Guided Practice

• Divide the class into small groups and give each group a list of daily activities.
• Have the students work together to organize the activities according to time and discuss the importance of each activity.
• Bring the groups back together and have them share their list and organize it on the clock face.

Independent Practice

• Give each student a piece of paper and a pen.
• Ask them to write down five daily activities and organize them according to time.
• Have them exchange their papers with a partner and check their work.

Closure

• Review the importance of daily routines and time management.
• Ask students to share any challenges they faced and how they solved them.

Assessment

• Observe students during the class practice, and give feedback to improve their listening and speaking skills.
