Materials

Warm-up

  • Ask students to share their knowledge about fashion and the environment. What are the impacts of fashion on the environment? How can we be more sustainable in our fashion choices?

Direct Instruction

  • Introduce the terms "fashion," "environment," and "urban tribes." Ask students to brainstorm examples of fashion and environmental issues. Write their ideas on the board.
  • Distribute the handouts with definitions and examples of the terms. Have students read through the definitions and examples, and ask them to note any questions or misunderstandings.
