Objectives & Outcomes:

• Students will be able to identify and write the letters of the English alphabet.

Materials

• Alphabet cards with the letters of the English alphabet written on them
• Writing paper
• Pencils

Warm-up

• Review the concept of alphabets and the different letters that make up the alphabets.
• Ask the students to name the different alphabets they know.
• Write the alphabets on the board and have the students recite them.

Direct Instruction

• Introduce the new alphabets to the students and write them on the board.
• Ask the students to repeat the alphabets after you.
• Demonstrate the proper pronunciation of the alphabets.
• Ask the students to repeat the proper pronunciation of the alphabets after you.

Guided Practice

• Show the picture cards with the alphabets to the students and ask them to identify the alphabets.
