Topic: Being Healthy

Objectives & Outcomes

  • Students will understand the importance of being healthy and will have increased awareness of their own habits and actions that impact their health.

Materials

  • Pictures of different healthy foods (such as fruits and vegetables), unhealthy foods (such as candy and cookies), and exercises (such as yoga and running)
  • Handouts with tips for healthy eating and exercising

Warm-up

  • Have the students stretch their bodies by doing some easy yoga poses for a few minutes.
  • Then, have them do some simple exercise movements, such as jumping jacks or push-ups.

Direct Instruction
